TEMPE, Ari. (CBS Las Vegas) – Pictures of students from Arizona State University are being posted online on “pass-out pages.”

“Pass-out pages” are the latest trend on Twitter, which shows students who have apparently blacked out after drinking too much alcohol.

Gordie Bufton is a substance abuse counselor who learned a valuable lesson and is now trying to pass what he learned on to students.

“I lost my golf and academic scholarship to addiction and then it progressively got worse,” Bufton told KPHO-TV.

Bufton is now sober and travels to schools to talk to students so they don’t have to learn the same hard lessons he did.

“It only takes one misstep when you’re under the influence and it could potentially ruin your life,” Bufton added to KPHO. “When you’re passed out drunk somewhere, people can really take advantage. It’s easy for them to take clothes off or take pictures you don’t know about.”

The ASU Passout page has been removed from Twitter, but that does not stop people from tagging it on pass out pictures. Students from other colleges around the country have their own passout pages.
