(Ely, NV) — A member of the UNLV football team will be missing a game.

UNLV football head coach Bobby Hauck announcing that junior defensive back Brandon Baker has been suspended for the season-opening game because Baker violated team rules.

Baker is a reserve defensive back who earned his first letter last season by playing in all 13 games and posting 10 total tackles.

UNLV continues its two-a-days training here before returning to Las Vegas on Thursday. The season kicks off at Arizona on Aug. 29
