(Las Vegas, NV)  —  Las Vegas has the potential to become a major destination for medical tourism.

A new report by the Convention and Visitors Authority and several other groups say Las Vegas can grab a larger share of the $50 billion global medical tourism market.

It cites the city’s international air traffic, medical conventions and large number of resort spas.

The report also calls for more local medical schools and training programs for graduates.
