Two Bodies Recovered At Lake Mead

(Las Vegas, NV) —  Two bodies have been recovered in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

According to spokesperson Christie Vanover, park rangers pulled an adult male from Lake Mohave after it was reported by visitors.  This is near the area where a 53-year-old man was reported missing after jumping off his boat to go swimming without a life jacket on July 20.

Vanover says the second body was discovered Monday near the Boulder Islands by volunteers from Earth Resource Group, who brought in advanced underwater equipment.  This is near the area where a 25-year-old man was reported missing on July 20.

The Clark County Coroner’s office will seek to positively identify the bodies.
