Online Gambling Between Two States?

Preliminary Approval Of Plan Linking Play Between Nevada, Delaware

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada gambling regulators are giving preliminary approval to a system that could link online poker websites to create a larger player pool.

Gaming Control Board officials said Wednesday that the network could be a model for a system connecting players in Nevada and Delaware. The two states have legalized online poker within their borders and signed an accord that clears the way for interstate play in the future.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the technology operated by Gibraltar-based 888 Holdings would link players from a planned online poker site operated by the Treasure Island casino and, which is run by Caesars Interactive Entertainment.

It would also include a separate 888 online poker room connected to Treasure Island.

A larger pool would make online poker more attractive to players.
