(Las Vegas/KXNT) — The 9th International Conference on Climate Change begins today at Mandalay Bay.
Most of the attendees don’t subscribe to theories that humans are driving changes in the weather.
The three-day gathering is sponsored by dozens of organizations, including the conservative Heartland Institute.
Scientists, economists and political policy experts will make presentations during the three-day gathering.
Among the many speakers expected is a co-founder of Greenpeace who left the organization decades ago. Patrick Moore was president and international director of the environmental group until he left in 1986 saying it had evolved into an organization of extremism and politically motivated agendas, rather than being guided by science.
Conference topics include “Who Benefits from Alarmism?” and “All Things Cold: Ice Age Conditions and Recent Cold Winters.”
