(Las Vegas, NV) — Nevada Senator Dean Heller is worried about the fate of Americans working at the embassy in Baghdad.

Senator Heller tells The Las Vegas Morning News the Embassy in Baghdad is the  largest  American embassy in the world with almost 5,000 workers.

The military situation in Iraq continues to worsen with the ISIS forces taking more territory and heading toward Baghdad.

Senator Heller says he recently attended a closed door meeting on Capitol Hill where he was briefed by military officials. He says the focus was on evacuation plans, when to evacuate and how to get the Americans out safely.

The lawmaker remembers as do many Americans the images of the final days of the Vietnam War and the chaotic scenes at the U.S. Embassy in Saigon.
