(North Las Vegas, NV) — Police are asking for help locating a man who went missing Monday and may be in need of medical care.

Jose Martinez is a resident of an assisted living home.  He walked out of a dental office near Lake Mead Boulevard and McDaniel Street, where he had been taken for treatment around 4:45 p.m.

Martinez is diabetic and suffers from dementia.  He requires medication and is unable to find his way home without assistance.

Police say foul play is not suspected, and Martinez has a history of walking away from the home.

Martinez is Hispanic, 5’5″ tall, 130 pounds, and has gray and brown hair.  He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and blue jean shorts. Martinez has a mustache and wears tinted, prescription glasses.

Anyone with information about Martinez is asked to call North Las Vegas Police at 702-633-9111.
