Victim, Shooters In Sunday Ambush Identified
(Las Vegas, NV) — Authorities have identified the victim gunned down at the entrance of a Walmart in Las Vegas by two suspects who fatally shot two police officers at a nearby eatery minutes before.
The Clark County coroner’s office says 31-year-old Joseph Robert Wilcox of Las Vegas died Sunday following the shooting at CiCi’s Pizza that killed Officers Alyn Beck and Igor Soldo.
The coroner’s office said Monday that both officers died of multiple gunshot wounds at a local hospital.
Police say the two officers were eating lunch at the restaurant when a man and woman entered and shot them in a point-blank ambush.
The Review-Journal reports that sources believe the shooters to be Jerad and Amanda Miller, who moved from Indiana to Las Vegas in January.
One of the shooters yelled, “This is a revolution!,” and both suspects then fled to the Walmart where they shot Wilcox and then themselves in an apparent suicide pact.
