( Carson City, NV ) – Governor Brian Sandoval and State School Superintendent Dale Erquiaga want kids all over Nevada to keep hitting the books over the summer – but not necessarily to study.

The two men are urging parents to read at least five books with their children this summer to help them develop a lifelong love of reading and learning.

They’ve announced a program called “Find a Book, Nevada” to encourage students to read at least five books this summer.

Sandoval says  “It’s important that we give our kids every opportunity to put their best foot forward” saying additionally  “for many students, the summer can be a great time to catch up or better prepare themselves for the new school year.”

There’s an online link to a book-finding tool for any grade level. You can get there by clicking here.
