(Las Vegas, NV) — Flamingo Road from I-15 and Hualapai Way is a long stretch of road, but it also includes a lot of commercial and residential development.
Today, the public has a chance to learn more about construction and upgrades that are coming soon. The RTC, Nevada Department of Transportation, Clark County and local officials will attend tonight’s transportation fair. It’s from 6 to 8 pm at the West Flamingo Senior Center.
Flamingo Road is a major arterial. It leads to the center of activity on the strip, it connects to UNLV, and has 14 transit routes. Planned improvements include re-paving, adding dedicated transit lanes, new bus shelters, and traffic signal and pedestrian crossing upgrades. RTC project manager Brij Gulati says construction should all start this fall.
