Event Helps Homeless, Low Income Families
(LAS VEGAS, KXNT)–There’s been a good turnout at an all-day event designed to assist homeless and low-income families in the Las Vegas area.
Its called Family Connect.
The event is taking place Thursday from 11a to 6p at the East Las Vegas Community Center at 250 N. Eastern Avenue.
The event is giving families the opportunity to connect with local agencies and organizations that provide childcare assistance, housing, health care and job readiness services. There was entertainment and giveaways at the event, too.
Family Connect is organized by the Nevada Homeless Alliance with the support of the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition’s Regional Initiatives Office, Clark County and the City of Las Vegas, the Title One HOPE office of the Clark County School District, the Bank of America Charitable Foundation, Wells Fargo Charitable Foundation, NV Energy, St. Jude’s Women’s Auxiliary, and Bunker’s Mortuary.
