CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — C.J. Manthe has been named administrator of the Nevada Housing Division.
Her appointment announced Wednesday was effective this week.
Manthe has more than 25 years of management experience in both the public and private sectors. For the past 10 years she has worked at the Nevada Rural Housing Authority, where she served as chief financial officer and deputy director.
She’s also held leadership positions at the American Red Cross and Guide Dogs for the Blind.
The Nevada Housing Division was created in 1975 to encourage private investment and financing of affordable housing. It provides low interest mortgages and down payment assistance to qualifying individuals. It also provides funding for affordable multi-family housing for seniors and families.
The division also assists homeowners at risk of losing their homes to foreclosure.
