New Theater, New Show
(Las Vegas, NV) — A brand new downtown Las Vegas theater will have a 10 o’clock comedy show on Wednesday nights. It starts tonight. Matt And Mattingly’s “Bucket Show”! will be a “pay-what-you-want” improv show at the Scullery Theater inside the Ogden. You go through the Scullery Bar and the black box cabaret style theater is in the back.
Matt Donnelly and Paul Mattingly are currently co-hosts of the comedy podcast “Matt and Mattingly’s Ice Cream Social”. They have worked with each other on many comedy projects around the city, but have never performed as a duo before.
Named “Best Male Comedian” by BroadwayWorld.com, Matt Donnelly was the only local ever hired to perform Wayne Brady’s “Making It Up” at the Venetian. He also co-hosts Penn Jillette’s weekly podcast “Penn’s Sunday School” and works as a comedy writer on Penn & Teller’s TV projects.
Paul Mattingly, the only local every hired as a Second City mainstage player, is the host of the podcast “The Ugly Couch Show” and creator of Improv Kingdom at the Baobab stage. He also teaches a drop-in improv class every Monday evening.
Similar to “Whose Line Is It Anyway,” the audience’s suggestions are the catalyst for creating the humor in this completely improvised show including improvised songs and musicals (featuring piano player Michael Spadoni).
The Scullery is located in The Ogden at 150 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
