(Las Vegas, NV) — The engine that drives our economy is tourism. This week Las Vegas is celebrating that with a few key events.
Former Mayor Oscar Goodman, is the chairman of the LVCVA host committee. He invites everyone out to celebrate at a tourism rally on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. The rally will take place at the Mob Museum and all you have to do is wear blue!
Many iconic sites around town will also go blue this week as well. They include: Las Vegas City Hall May 5th to the 11th all day, New York, New York’s Brooklyn Bridge and Chrysler Tower, and the Vaquero cowboy statue at McCarran Terminal 3 parking. The High Roller turned blue on Sunday night.
Goodman says 45 billion dollars a year comes from tourism and half of Southern Nevada’s jobs depend on it.
