MINDEN, Nev. (AP) — A Douglas County man is facing charges after authorities say he interfered with firefighters trying to extinguish a blaze in his garage.

The sheriff’s office says the fire broke out Friday at a home in the Indian Hills subdivision. Authorities say Blake Lister claimed to be a Bureau of Land Management firefighter.

After being told to stay away from firefighters working the blaze, Lister reportedly ran into the burning building and locked himself inside.

Deputies went in after him and arrested Lister when he refused to leave the building.

He was booked on charges of interfering with extinguishing a fire and obstructing a police officer.

Bail was set at $1,280.
