( Carson City, NV ) – The March gaming numbers were released Tuesday morning.
The total statewide casino “take” up 7.6% from March of a year ago.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board reports $982 million in “wins” last month compared to $912 million in March 2013.
In Clark County the take was up 9.5%, including an 11% jump on the Strip, a 12% increase downtown and North Las Vegas leading the way with an uptick of 15% from a year ago.
The only part of the county reporting a drop in winnings was Mesquite, down nearly 9%.
The taxes kept by the state? $84 million, up a little over 7% from a year ago.
