(Las Vegas, NV) — April is National Donate Life Month and the Nevada Donor Network is busy creating awareness and encouraging people to register as a donor. On April 23rd, staff and volunteers will be decorating downtown Las Vegas with blue and green. They will spread the word and help get people information on how to register as an organ donor.

Kate McCullough with the Donor Network says age and/or medical condition doesn’t matter. You can register any time, a medical professional will evaluate you at the time of passing. She also says it’s a myth that doctors won’t try to save your life if they find out you are a donor. McCullough says doctors don’t have anything to do with the transplant process, it’s completely separate.

You can register HERE or sign up at the Department of Motor Vehicles.
