Police ID Shoe-Throwing Suspect
LAS VEGAS (KXNT/AP) — Police have identified the woman accused of throwing a shoe at Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Alison Michelle Ernst, 36, of Arizona has been arrested on one count of disorderly conduct.
Las Vegas Metro Police say Ernst snuck into the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries convention at Mandalay Bay.
Clinton was on stage giving a speech when she ducked the shoe Thursday, cracked a couple of jokes that drew applause and continued her keynote speech.
Secret Service detained Ernst, who was wearing a blonde wig at the time of the incident. She was later turned over to Metro police.
