(Henderson, NV) — Henderson Police have apprehended a 50-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman accused of abducting her 3-year-old son.

Police say Karl Menz and Virginia Lynch abducted the boy on March 6, during a supervised visit at a fast food restaurant in Crestview, Florida. Lynch does not have custodial rights to the child.

They were last seen in a white U-Haul van.

Based on information from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Henderson Police officers found the suspects near Boulder Highway and Lake Mead Parkway on April 3.

They were in the white U-Haul van, but the distinctive markings had been removed. Menz and Lynch were taken into custody without incident and the boy was found unharmed in the back of the van.

The child, who is non-verbal and autistic, was placed with Clark County Child Protective Services.

The suspects were booked into the Henderson Detention Center for possession of stolen vehicle and outstanding warrant, wanted from other jurisdiction.
