Agent Cleared In 2013 Suspect Killing

(LAS VEGAS, KXNT)–A District Attorney’s Office investigation has cleared officers of wrongdoing in the shooting death of a wanted suspect on the rooftop of an area home February of 2013.

The DA ruled the police behavior in the killing of Javier Reyes by a Criminal Apprehension Team officer was reasonable and legally justified.

Reyes was shot three times by an FBI Agent who himself had just been shot twice by Reyes, who was being chased through the neighborhood on Pleasant Brooks Street near Nellis and Charleston, and repeatedly ignored commands to stop and shot his hands.
