Las Vegas, NV – The Las Vegas Wranglers battled to the bitter end in the final home game of the regular season last night at the Orleans Arena.
Despite scoring twice in the final 69 seconds of the game, Las Vegas came up on the short end of a shootout with the Bakersfield Condors on Fan Appreciation night.
Trailing 6-3 with 1:09 remaining, the Wranglers mounted a furious comeback with a pair of goals, the second coming with 25 seconds on the clock. But that’s how it would end with the Condors skating off with the 6-5 win.
Forward Chris Francis recorded a hat-trick in the loss, the first three-score game by any Wrangler this season. Fan Appreciation Night was capped off with a full team autograph session on the concourse, and highlighted by various in-game giveaways.
The Wranglers now hit the road for the the final five games of the season eventually ending up in Bakersfield for the finale April 13th.
