(LAS VEGAS, KXNT)–High wind advisories for the Las Vegas valley were canceled early Tuesday, but windy conditions continue and can be expected to last through the day.
A dust advisory issued by Clark County was also canceled, but particulate matter, dust, and pollen continue to swirl in our air.
A wind advisory is posted when gusts of at least 40 miles per hour are expected for a period in excess of three hours. The forecast is calling for a chance of afternoon showers on Wednesday.
“The good news is the winds are definitely going to be done with by the weekend and into early next week as we have a big area of high pressure that will move into the area and shut the winds off”, said National Weather Service spokesman, Chris Stuhellski in an interview with KXNT.
