(LAS VEGAS, KXNT)–Police have released store surveillance video of a would-be holdup man who attempted to rob a local convenience store. The man was dressed for success, but left empty-handed.

On March 18th, the man pretended to make a purchase at the store at Las Vegas Blvd. and Bonanza. Once the register was opened, the man tried to remove cash from the drawn, hit the clerk in the head, and fled without any money.

Police describe him as a black male, 25-35 years old, 5’10”, 190 pounds wearing a light-colored sport coat, a button-down shirt, black dress pants, a bow tie, and a black hat.

A police news release states that anyone with information is urged to call the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Robbery Section at  (702) 828-3591 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit http://www.crimestoppersofnv.com. Tips directly leading to an arrest or an indictment processed through Crime Stoppers may result in a cash reward.
