(Las Vegas, NV) — The Clark County Republican Party has removed language from its platform on several “social issues.”

At this weekend’s convention, party members removed a line defining marriage as between “a man and a woman”,  and added sexual orientation to a non-discrimination clause.

They also removed references to the Clark County Republican Party being “pro-life” on the issue of abortion.

Political director Nick Phillips says the GOP platform will now focus on “personal liberty and personal freedom,” along with economic “free market principles” and calls for lower taxes.
