(Las Vegas, NV) — Clark County School District officials confirm that Las Vegas Metro Police have searched two CCSD offices and are interviewing some staff over possible financial misconduct.
The investigation is looking into the financials for an adult literacy and life skills program for non-English-speaking parents of district students.
Adult English Language Acquisition Services Department program director Priscilla Rocha has been suspended with pay during the probe.
School District Chief of Staff Kirsten Searer says the misuse of funds is not confirmed, but adds CCSD wants to be “open, transparent and accountable for every dollar.”
No specifics are being given about the allegations because the investigation is on-going.
