(Las Vegas, NV)  —  A man convicted of impersonating a police officer will go to trial on charges he posed as a vice officer and sexually assaulted two women.

Forty-eight-year-old Mark Picozzi faces 14 criminal counts.

Prosecutors allege Picozzi assaulted an escort at the Cosmopolitan hotel.  Soon after his arrest, another prostitute claimed she was also assaulted at the MGM Signature Hotel.

Picozzi has a long criminal record, including a conviction for posing as a cop in New Jersey.

He will be arraigned in District Court on March 26th.
