CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — The board overseeing Nevada’s troubled health insurance exchange board has delayed a vote on whether to give people stuck in the system more time to complete enrollments.
Board members raised a number of questions on how the special enrollment period beyond the March 31 deadline would be implemented, and whether Nevada’s system operated by Xerox could handle the task.
One big issue is how to determine eligibility and from what point in the process would eligibility begin.
The board asked for recommendations from Nevada Insurance Commissioner Scott Kipper and more information from Xerox.
They postponed action until next week.
