CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — A conservative group is launching a television and web campaign against Ross Miller, Nevada’s Democratic secretary of state who is running for state attorney general.
The commercial reported by the Las Vegas Review Journal portrays Miller as a politician enjoying the good life by accepting trips and freebies. It is sponsored by State Government Leadership Foundation, a conservative group aligned with Republican organizations.
Miller on Monday responded to the claims, saying all of his gifts were reported on financial disclosure statements for public inspection. Many involved fees paid to attend conferences and conventions.
He also called on the leadership foundation to reveal all of its donors.
Miller is the Democratic front runner for attorney general and will likely face Republican Adam Laxalt.
