(Las Vegas, NV) — Want to avoid the screening lines at the airport? The Transportation Security Agency is making it more convenient for people to take advantage of the TSA Pre✓™. They’ve opened a new enrollment center at McCarran International Airport.

The TSA program has been in effect for several years. People apply and if accepted qualify to go through  special lines at 117 airports . Travelers can leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt, carry on a laptop and some liquids and gels.

The TSA says people can begin the enrollment process at https://universalenroll.dhs.gov/, then when that’s processed, visit the enrollment center at McCarran in person to verify identity, citizenship, immigration status and provide fingerprints.

The application process costs a nonrefundable $85, but when approved, the TSA-assigned Known Traveler Number is good for five years.
