LAS VEGAS, NV – The Las Vegas Wranglers trailed and tied Friday night’s game three separate times before coming up short at Orleans Arena.

Idaho struck first taking a 1-goal lead in to the first intermission. Adam Hughesman netted his team-leading 16th of the year early in the second. The Steelheads struck back with a short-handed goal before Las Vegas, once again, answered back on the power play to knot it up at 2. In keeping with the pattern of the night, Idaho beat Las Vegas goaltender Travis Fullerton 6:23 into the third period to go up 3-2.

The Wranglers would not go away as Robbie Smith lit the lamp to once again tie it up. With just over nine minutes remaining, Idaho took their fourth lead of the game; one they would not relinquish eventually going on to win 5-3.
