(Las Vegas, NV) — A pet shop owner and her alleged accomplice, accused of setting fire to her business, were in seperate coutrooms Monday.
The two are accused of setting fire to Lee’s store with 27 puppies inside. Firemen rescued the animals.
Gloria Lee pled not guilty in Las Vegas District Court. She’s due back in court for a pre-trial hearing June 4. Trial is set to begin July 7. She is being held on $310,000 bail.
Lee and Kirk Bills are facing 31 charges including arson, conspiracy, burglary and attempted animal cruelty.
Bills was scheduled to have a bail hearing this morning. His lawyer asked the judge for more time to prepare a written request. Bills will return to court on Thursday.
Bills was arrested Feb. 7 in Crown Point, Ind., and extradited to Las Vegas.
Authorities claim Lee and Bills are seen on security video setting the fire at the Prince and Princess pet shop on South Rainbow Boulevard.
