(Las Vegas, KXNT)-Metro police are asking for your help in identifying the driver who is caught running over a pedestrian and then fleeing the scene.

On February 6, 2014, an elderly man was hit by a car in the parking lot of a gas station in the 6100 block of West Flamingo.  According to police, just prior to the incident, the victim drove into the gas station when a gray Honda Accord pulled in front of him, causing the victim to drive around the car to avoid a collision.

Moments later, the gas station surveillance video shows the victim walking towards the entrance of the store, when the gray vehicle approaches the man at a high rate of speed, stopping just shy of hitting him.  However, moments later, the driver pushes on the gas, striking the victim with the driver’s side bumper.  The victim is seen falling to the ground and is then run over.  The victim sustained significant leg injuries.

Police are still looking for the suspect.   He is described as a white male in his 30’s with a medium build and was last seen wearing a gray hoodie.  He was driving a 2010 or 2011 dark gray Honda Accord with tint on the rear windows only.  The vehicle has a California license plate that begins with “6C”.

You can view the surveillance video here.
