Vegas Attempts Speed Dating Record
LAS VEGAS (KXNT/AP) — Officials at a downtown casino hope to break a world speed-dating record this Valentine’s Day.
The D Las Vegas is hosting their free “D Date-a-Thon” event Friday night in partnership with two speed dating organizations and KXNT’s sister station, X-107.5.
Organizers are planning for 1,000 participants, which a spokesman says would roughly double the record for the largest such event.
Singles will talk with 24 potential mates for three minutes each in hopes of finding their match.
The Date-a-Thon is FREE to anyone who wants to participate. Register in advance or at The D beginning at 4 p.m. Participants must be 21 years or older.
The casino is plying participants with $1 drinks, music and prizes, including hotel stays at the D.
