Downtown Las Vegas Lassos Wranglers

LAS VEGAS, NV – Local hockey fans rejoice as Las Vegas Wrangler president Billy Johnson announced a five-year deal that will keep the team around for at least the next five years.

The agreement was reached with owners of the Plaza in downtown Las Vegas for the Wranglers to play its 36 home games in a yet-unnamed facility that will seat about 3,500 fans to be built on the fifth-level pool and event deck of the resort.

Soon after the 11-year relationship with the Orleans Arena ends in April, the team’s headquarters will relocate to the Plaza. Johnson described the new venue as “a purpose-built facility” created specifically for hockey adding that the Wranglers logo will be painted on the roof of the building and visible high above the hotel.
