Lawmakers Split On Debt Ceiling Vote

(Washington, DC)  —  Nevada’s congressional delegation split along party lines to suspend the federal debt limit through mid-March 2015.

The Senate approved the so-called “clean” debt bill Thursday.  Majority Leader Harry Reid voted yes, but Republican Dean Heller voted against it.

Earlier this week, Nevada’s two Democratic House members, Dina Titus and Steven Horsford, voted in favor of the debt bill.  Republican Joe Heck voted against it.  Congressman Mark Amodei is still recovering from eye surgery and did not vote.
