ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — A fourth recent dog shooting has been reported in the La Cienega area south of Santa Fe.

Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Capt. Adan Mendoza says the owner of a dog reported Wednesday that it had been fatally shot.

The Albuquerque Journal (http://bit.ly/1btwKFw ) reports it’s not immediately known when that shooting occurred and that other details shooting aren’t immediately available.

Two of the three dogs previously reported as being shot also were killed. Those three shootings occurred in late January.

Mendoza says authorities are unsure if the shootings are related, and are asking anyone with information on the cases to contact authorities.

Animal Protection of New Mexico says it’s offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the shootings.
