(Las Vegas, NV) — Clark County commissioners have rejected a proposed contract for most of University Medical Center’s workers.
The three-year deal included pay increases for nearly 3400 employees at the public hospital.
There was opposition to the contract’s longevity pay for new employees.
Commissioners Steve Sisolak, Mary Beth Scow, Larry Brown, and Susan Brager voted against the measure, while Commissioners Tom Collins, Chris Giunchigliani and Lawrence Weekly supported it.
UMC management and union leaders must now go back to the bargaining table.
