(LAS VEGAS, KXNT)–Metro Police say they have busted four local marijuana grow houses in the past week. In all, police seized more than 2,000 pot plans, and more than 60 pounds of marijuana ready for sale. Police place the street value of the drugs at more than $5.5 million.
All of the raids occurred within a period of five days. In one case, a firearm was seized. At another house, police found a 5-foot long alligator.
Two people have been arrested. Rudy Rivera and Joseph Ramirez facing possession and trafficking charges. Ramirez faces a firearms violation. Police say they are coordinating their investigation with California authorities.
