(Las Vegas, NV) — Nine people have died from the flu in Southern Nevada this season.
Three more deaths were reported this week. The current total is now three times the number killed by the virus last year.
According to the Southern Nevada Health District, three of the victims were between the ages of 19 and 44. Two were between the ages of 45 and 65, and four were older than 65.
Epidemiologists say you still have time to get your flu shot, which is especially important for young children and the elderly.
