LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say a driver with two children in the backseat was fatally shot by a fellow motorist during rush hour in Las Vegas.

Authorities say the shooting happened a little before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Rainbow Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue.

Police say the man was shot in the chest and lost control of his car before crashing into two other vehicles.

The man was taken to University Medical Center and pronounced dead.

The two children were not injured.

A motive is unclear, but police Lt. Mark Reddon says it may be a case of road rage.

Police Lt. Ray Steiber says officers are looking for a suspect who’s described as a white man driving a dark, compact car that was possibly older.
