(LAS VEGAS, KXNT, ASSOCIATED PRESS)–Police say a verbal altercation may have preceded the shooting of a motorist in a vehicle with two children in the backseat. The driver died. The other driver fled the scene and police are asking for help in locating the driver and car.
It happened during the rush hour near Rainbow and Tropicana Tuesday afternoon.
Police are certain witnesses saw it. So far, no one has come forward with the key to identifying the shooter.
Sgt. Ray Steiber says the gunman drove away in a dark-colored compact car. 26-year-old Cleottus Harvey died after he was shot several times in the chest.
Harvey’s white four-door Buick crashed into two other vehicles.
The two children in his car were uninjured, and Steiber says no one in the other vehicles was seriously hurt.
