( Las Vegas, NV ) – If you not only love visiting Red Rock Canyon, but also enjoying taking pictures or drawing or painting there, a heads-up you might be interested in: the first-ever an Artist In Residence program is looking for applicants.

Graham Wimbrow is the Arts Program Coordinator for the Red Rock Canyon Inerpretive Association that’s sponsoring the program. He says it’s way to not only support the local arts community, but also for the chosen artists to get  a little publicity for themselves and for Red Rock Canyon.

Three artists will be chosen for two-week programs in March April and May.

Those chosen will be trained on interacting with the public during their 30 hours spent at the Canyon’s Visitors Center.

They won’t actually live there, Wimbrow says, noting they’re looking for artists who already live in southern Nevada.
