MGM Boss Hopes For Massachusetts Resort Approval In April
LAS VEGAS, NV – MGM Resorts is moving forward with plans to build a couple of resorts on the East Coast.
They have approval to open a big resort casino in Maryland just south of Washington, D.C. Now, the company is waiting for a license approval from Western Massachusetts, so it can build a resort casino there in 2016.
CEO Jim Murren tells the KXNT Morning News, the Massachusetts property is more of an Urban Renewal project. He plans to revitalize the city of Springfield and make money doing it. Murren says he expects a decision in April.
