( North Las Vegas, NV ) – North Las Vegas Police have released a sketch of a suspect in last month’s attempted kidnapping of a 12-year-old girl on her way to school.

The sketch comes after police initially released a grainy surveillance video photo of the vehicle suspected in the case.

They’re specifically looking for a maroon Chevy van that was seen in the area of Las Vegas Blvd and Pecos where the girl was approached.

Police say that on December 18th a Hispanic man in his 30s told the girl to get in the vehicle but that she instead ran to her nearby Von Tobel Middle School where she asked for help.

Investigators say the van’s driver was also a Hispanic man and that there may have been two teenaged girls inside.

If you have any information that might lead to the arrest of the suspect in this case, you’re asked to call North Las Vegas police at 702-633-9111 or CrimeStoppers at 702-385-5555.
