Reward Offered In Reno Grocery Store Slot Robbery

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Secret Witness is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of man who held up a grocery store slot attendant in Reno.

Police say the attendant at the Scolari’s Market on South McCarran Boulevard and Mira Loma Drive was robbed at gunpoint just before 1 a.m. Saturday.

Officers say when the attendant opened a cash drawer to make change, the suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded money. The robber fled on foot with an undisclosed about of cash.

The suspect is described as Hispanic, about 5-foot-6, with a thin build. He was wearing a knit beanie cap, dark coat and baggy pants.
