PHOENIX (AP) — A 37-year-old man waiting on a north Phoenix corner to cross a street was killed when he was struck by an SUV that had just collided with another vehicle at an intersection.
Police said Cameron Matthew Hall was on a sidewalk Monday evening when he was struck by a SUV that spun out of control following the collision.
Investigators believe Hall may have been pinned between the SUV and a light pole. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sgt. Steve Martos said neither driver was impaired and that Hall’s death was a case of “wrong place, wrong time.”
The people in the two vehicles suffered only minor injuries.
