CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — A 22-year-old man remained at large Sunday after being accused of seriously wounding his ex-girlfriend and fatally shooting her father in Carson City.

Sheriff’s deputies arrived at a home on Saturday morning to find a dead man and his 19-year-old daughter with a gunshot wound to the head. She was taken to a Reno hospital, where her condition was still unknown Sunday.

Their names also were still being withheld by authorities.

Sheriff Ken Furlong told the Nevada Appeal that the suspect, 22-year-old Michael Brentlinger, used to live at the home and date the teen.

The sheriff says he was arrested on Dec. 5 on a trespassing charge after returning to the home, and the woman was granted a personal protection order against him.

Brentlinger fled the home by car and is believed to be armed and dangerous.
