(Las Vegas, NV) — The last week in December is historically Goodwill of Southern Nevada’s busiest week of the year for donations, with more than 25,000 people expected to drop off gently used goods at Goodwill donation centers between December 26th and December 31st.
Goodwill of Southern Nevada offers more than forty donation sites across the Las Vegas Valley. Each donation location is staffed by a donation ambassador who can provide tax-deductible receipts and also validate itemized lists. Most donation locations are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. To find a Goodwill Donation Center near you and operating hours, please visit www.sngoodwill.org.
Spokesperson, Kathy Topp says they are looking for clothes, kitchen items, computers, and more.
Every day, the sale of gently used goods in Goodwill retail stores funds Goodwill’s free job placement and training services to job seekers no matter disability or circumstance. This month, Goodwill is asking shoppers to participate in its annual Gift of a Job campaign, and donate funds directly.
Until December 31, 2013 shoppers in all of Goodwill of Southern Nevada’s twelve retail stores can add an extra dollar or more to their retail purchase. Each donor will be recognized by a Gift of a Job donation square.
Donations can also be made online at www.sngoodwill.org.
