Sales Increase For 40th Month

(Carson City, NV)  —  Taxable sales in Nevada were up in October.  

The state Department of Taxation says sales of $3.8-billion was up about six-percent from October 2012.  

It was the 40th consecutive month of increases, thanks to strong car and furniture sales.

In Clark County, taxable sales rose more than eight percent.
